(Short Instructions)

Apply with fingertip, ebony stick, or clean cotton cloth. Rub in 1 centimeter circles. Wait 10 minutes. Briskly horsehair brush each shoe thoroughly for a warm glow shine.

(Long Instructions)

To get the greatest benefit from Shell Cordovan Cream, and to get the best result, use it in the following manner:

Use your fingertip and rub it on the surface of the cream in the jar. If the cream is soft rub gently, if the cream is firm rub with a little more pressure. You want to add just a little cream to the surface of the shell cordovan (you can always add more if you like).

Rub the cream onto the shell cordovan in about 1 centimeter circles. Use about a dime-sized amount of cream at a time. Rub it in thoroughly with your fingertip or the end of an ebony stick. Repeat this process until cream has been thoroughly spread across the entire surface of the shell cordovan.

Wait 10 minutes and use a Boar’s hair (shorter stiffer bristles) or Horsehair brush to briskly brush your shell cordovan thoroughly. This process helps the cream penetrate and get absorbed into the shell cordovan. However, this will not produce a shine yet, so don’t be disappointed.

Wait another 10 minutes. Using a clean cotton cloth, do a single light wipe-down across each shoe to remove any excess cream that hasn’t penetrated the shell cordovan. Follow-up with a thorough Horsehair brushing again. This should bring out a warm glow shine.

With light colored shell cordovan, the color may darken slightly due to the absorption of the conditioning oils in the cream.
